Once a Mustang® is supplied to Peregrine Automotive® it goes through the step by step process of being upgraded for performance and appearance. Below is the process.
A stage 2, 3.0L Whipple Supercharger comes as an option with every Revenge® GT conversion.
Step 1: Power Enhancement
Engine work is done first and foremost. Every 5.0L V8 Mustang® that is converted into a Revenge® GT is given the option of being supercharged with a Stage 2 Whipple or Roush Supercharger, making up to 800 horsepower. Once supercharged, both the engine and transmission are tuned with a tune exclusively developed to maximize engine power throughout all RPM ranges and transmission shifting to perform differently in varied driving condition. Any additional power options, such as long tube headers, race exhaust, and/or carbon driveshaft upgrades are performed in this stage as well. 4 Cylinder EcoBoost Mustangs® do not receive power upgrades from Peregrine Automotive unless exclusively arranged and optioned.
4 Michelin Pilot Sport 4s come standard with every Revenge® GT conversion.
Step 2: Handling Enhancement
After engine upgrades are done, suspension comes next. Here, the front track gets widened by billet aluminum arms and suspension to increase handling, cornering, and front wheel clearance. Additional suspension upgrades such as lowering springs and the ultimate suspension package are done here, as well as the ultimate Brembo® brake upgrade, if optioned. This step is also when the wheels and tires are swapped out. Taking place of the heavy and small wheels that come with the stock donor Mustang®, a set of aluminum forged 20x10.5” front wheels and 20x12“ rear wheels with Michelin® Pilot Sport 4s tires, or Cup 2s, are put on for maximum performance on and off the track.
A set of complete carbon fiber quarter panels widen every Revenge® GT by 6 inches.
The Revenge® GT quarter panel is replaced according to Ford’s specifications.
Step 3: Carbon Fiber Wide-Body Enhancement
After step 1 and 2, the main event takes place. This is where the entire donor Mustang® is stripped of almost the entire body; only the doors, roof, and deckled are spared. From here, a perfectly fitted, complete carbon body replaces the old and primitive plastic and steel body of the stock car. The front bumper directs fresh air to precisely cool the brakes; the bulging hood passes additional air over the engine; the front fenders widen the front by 3 inches; and the the complete rear quarter panel widens the rear by 6 inches.
Not only is the body painted a custom color* in this step, but the whole car is lined with exposed carbon pieces, including a functional front splitter to increase downforce, functional side rockers to channel passing air, a functional rear diffuser to increase downforce and straighten out departing air, and a functional rear spoiler or wing that increases downforce with minimal drag.
